Flying Chameleon Arts Festival (FCAF) is an ambitious attempt at holding space in the public sphere for the LGBTQIA+ community. As the organizers of FCAF, The Particle Collective hopes to create a platform that hosts artists whose work is intersectionally feminist and centred on the politics of being queer. This multidisciplinary, multimedia arts festival harkens back to a lively tradition of self-expression and (re)claiming one’s space while envisioning a future of shared joy and togetherness in the fullest sense. We hope that this festival will - in an accessible, affordable, and amicable manner - facilitate the assertion of identities and spark conversations around subaltern narratives within the world of mainstream art and culture
Note: We are using the term ‘queer’ to encompass a broad spectrum of non-normative sexual and/or gender identities and politics.
The Particle Collective is offering artists working in physical and tangible media the chance to grow their community by taking up space at Flying Chameleon Arts Festival 2022.
You are invited to exhibit your products, publications, merchandise and memorabilia, which you are welcome to display/ sample/ sell to our audiences, along with the chance to interact with them, fundraise and share your work.
We like to encourage such dialogues where the artist is present.
Flying Chameleon Arts Festival is first and foremost a platform for art relevant to/ created by the LGBTQIA+ community and other marginalised groups. Priority will be given to individuals belonging to historically oppressed identities. We trust that other artists and collaborators will understand this imperative and nonetheless support the festival in any way possible.
